A guided visualisation by Wildwitchyju - Eagles and Angels

(picture:- www.calltheangels.com)

Visualise if you can, a familiar little country path. Its a warm day, the sun is shining, breathe in the clean pure air, smiling, joyous and radiant, beaming with the joy of being alive, every cell in your body ringing with delight.

You see before you a gate, beyond which lies a familiar meadow. Open the gate and allow yourself a moment to take in the beauty of the sparkling dew shining in the green grass and the wildflowers that dazzle in the sun like a million stars.

There's a little wooden bridge that crosses over a stream, cross the bridge and stop for a moment to stare in the wonder at the dragonflies that flutter past like fairies sprinkling their magic in a colorful dance in front of your eyes.

Beyond the bridge is a viewpoint and you make your way to it with a spring in your step and a song in your heart.

Sit in the warmth and enjoy the clear azure blue sky for a moment, just be and feel the connectedness with everything, be still, breathe.

In the distance you see a speck in the sky, as it gets nearer and nearer you see that it takes the form of a huge eagle and it lands gently on the grass nearby and squawks at you to mount his back as he wants to take you on a ride.

Be at one with this mighty eagle that soars effortlessly through the sky, feel his strength and the power in his wings and see the world as if through his eyes as he flies you to a very sacred mountain.

You land gently, effortlessly. The sun is just rising here on top of this mountain and you notice a fluffy blanket to pull around your shoulders as you watch the red ruby golden sun rise like a huge gem in the sky. As the sun rises, glance around you at the mountains in the distance, all resembling sleeping smiling giants. Sit for a while and absorb the absolute magic of this place. You remember being here before and it feels both familar and sacred.

As the sun begins its ascent you notice before you a huge mass of twinkling rainbow lights, all starting to form a shape. As the shape starts to materialise you realise you are now looking at a blue golden angel who comes with love and strength.

In his hands he hold out 3 gifts for you and beckons you to graciously receive them.
He also has a few messages for you. Receive the gifts with thanks and listen to the messages he has for you. Feel this beautiful loving energy as his light shimmers around you, feel the gentleness and strength of his feathered wings and notice a change in your own energy field.. feel the strength and healing love of his light. Sit for a while and be with this angel, feel the beauty of this presence lighting you up and feel yourself radiating with this loving healing light.

Rest a while, and bathe in the loving healing light.

When you are ready, thank the angel and send a beam of healing light around the planet touching everyone as is passes.

The eagle approaches.. mount his back as he takes you back to the gate, thank him for his strength and wave as he flaps his wings and takes off once more into the azure blue sky.

Open the gate and find yourself back in the country lane again.. start to come back now and have a little wiggle and a stretch, stretch yourself and become aware of your surroundings. Keep in your awareness the gifts that were given.

Thank you for your presence here.

You are very loved and surrounded by beautiful angels.

MANNAZ is ‘Humanity.’

The fourth rune of the third Aett and twentieth in total is Mannaz. This is the ‘Rune of Mankind’ – the Human. We are all genetically linked to the gods and the universe. This rune represents the human as a whole, incorporating the intelligence, memory, rationality, common sense, traditions and cultures of the human race. It represents our ‘humanity’.

The Mannaz rune exposes and expressed both the strengths and weaknesses of the human being. It is the essence of what the Norse and ancient peoples of all cultures, as well as many of us today, look to pass down and teach our children: to be smart, to remember your ancestors, to act fairly and to honour the gods. Mannaz is a part of the soul of the human race that connects all and says ‘we are one.’

According to Norse Cosmology, the realm of the human race is Midgard. Mannaz represents all of humanity who dwell on the Earthly plane.

Mannaz is the rune of relationships and connections. It is about those with whom with have intimate relationships, such as our immediate circle of family and friends, to the wider community. It also extends to our connection with nature and our instincts to be social creatures. Mannaz represents our connection with the Universe and nature.

The Mannaz rune represents interdependence and support, as well as duty and responsibility. No individual is independent of others and each plays a part in the larger pattern of life, interacting within other’s lives as well as living their own.

Mannaz in a reading may be an indication to either seek assistance from others, or look to those whom you can assist. Your willingness to assist others, whether or not you are in need of assistance yourself, indicates to all the calibre of who you are.

Interactions should run smoothly and amicably. Plans will go to order.

If a problem were to arise at this time, it will be dealt with quickly and positively, to the point where you may be baffled or mystified as to how the solution came about so promptly and effectively.

Mannaz talks of an attitude towards other people and their attitude in return is concerned with intelligence, forethought and creative skills and abilities.

Drawing Mannaz in a reading would suggest that issues with those close to you may be prevalent. Embrace all interactions and look for the deeper meaning in conversations and situations as they arise.

Be safe in the knowledge that everything that happens happens for a reason.

Mary Magdalene - Unconditional love (excerpt)

"Love yourself, others and every situation no matter what outward appearances
may be"

Message from Mary Magdalene

I choose to do my work from the higher levels of consciousness where love reigns
supreme, its here where the most good can be done and I urge you to do the same.
Where you dwell in consciousness is where you truly dwell so focus on the good in people.

Watching the beautiful sky from the nursery I had the feeling
all the trees were doing the same thing.

Do remember in this cold weather to regularly feed the birds.

The beauty of life is everywhere... how blessed to have moments like this that just bring tears of joy to your eyes. Spend time in nature, the earth mother will love you for it.

If you are experiencing Blackbird as your totem, this is what I've found from various websites and books.

BLACKBIRD. - excerpt
Understanding the energies of Mother Nature (Ted Andrews)

The blackbird has long been associated with omens and mysticsm. Its colour, alone has evoked both fear and promise. Although called a blackbird, only the males are black, females usually have a streaky brown plumage.

One variety has a yellow head and throat which stands out strongly agains the black plumage. Yellow and black has long been associates with the Archangel Auriel. Auriel is considered the tallest of the angels with eyes that can see across eternity. This being oversees all of nature and all of the nature spirits. Auriel has traditonally been associated with the summer.

They nest in swamps, marshes and low brush - usually just a few feet from water. Again this reflects a tie to water, an ancient symbol for the feminine force and for Nature.

If the blackbird has come into your life as a totem, you will open to new surprises and to a new understanding of the forces of Nature as they begin to migrate into your life.

The Blackbird -excerpt

The blackbirds iridescent black plumage holds the energies of mysticism and magic. Druid legends say that the birds of Rhiannan are 3 blackbirds which sit and sing in the World tree of other worlds. Their singing puts the listener into a sleep or a trance which enables him or her to travel to the otherworld. It was said to impart mystic secrets. Those with this medicine often have a hypnotic influence on others as well as an uncanny ability to move between the seen and unseen worlds with clarity. They make excellent shamans and trance channelers.

Blackbirds are timid and prefer their own company over the company of others. In humans shyness is common. Vulnerable to outside influences those with this totem need to remember to clear accumulated influences from their energy field on a regular basis.

The male's distinctive song during breeding season is loud and melodious with flute like qualities. Males often sing from high perches and both sexes produce a variety of sounds which include mimicking other birds. Blackbird medicine people love to sing and have the ability use their voice to heal and inform. They are also good ventriloquists.

Blackbirds spend much of their time on the ground. Its locomotion includes walking, climbing and hopping forward and backwards. They forage for food in open spaces although cover is always near by. When foraging in leaf litter under trees they sound like people walking . In humans this suggests an ability to remain grounded in the earth energies while walking a spiritual path.

When resting the blackbird is frequently seen stretching, legs extended back, side wings in full extension, tail spread, and the head tilted to one side as if listening. Yoga and movement therapy are beneficial for those that hold this totem.

The blackbirds flights are low, short and undulating but fast and direct over open country. They move with determination and focus and can teach us how to do the same. When blackbird flies into your life your connection with nature and the forces of creation increase. The magic of the underworld surfaces in your life. Awareness is heightened and change on a cellular level begins. The blackbird teaches you how to acknowledge your power and use it to its fullest.

Weekly Rune Reading - Algiz

Algiz: (Z or -R: Elk, protection.)

Algiz illustrates both the antlers of the elk, and the shape of the sedge-grass herb. To some it suggests the spread fingers of a hand raised in a protective gesture. It is a powerful rune of protection and, spiritually, it symbolizes reaching up to the divine.

the primary meaning of Algiz means protection and spiritual connection with the gods and goddesses. Algiz assists in successful magick by channeling the energies of the gods to us in workings. Algiz can be written both upward and downward, having both male and female forms and symbolizing the branches and roots of the Tree of Yggdrasil. According to Freya Aswynn, in its normal upright form Algiz an be used in devotional work, such as when invoking other runes or expanding one's consciousness to higher realms. Aswynn also says that Algiz can be used for healing, and that this is one of the strongest runes to be used in circle because it shields and defends any working done within the circle.

In reading this rune stone stands for protection, a shield. The protective urge to shelter oneself or others. Defense, warding off of evil, shield, guardian. Connection with the gods, awakening, higher life. It can be used to channel energies appropriately. Follow your instincts.
