a winter stroll

Tree spirit puckers her lips and blows a kiss.

A winter stroll

A universe of snowy starlight.

Winter wonderland

Silent snow falls and I listen and am reminded of this beautiful sacred place i was fortunate enough to visit in Yosemite.

The sacred path cards - Jamie Sams - weekly reading

12. Arrow - Truth as protection (excerpt)

Protect yourself by using the truth as protection. It does not matter what others think, you know the truth. When you honour that truth you cannot be hurt by the lies of others.

Arrow also speaks of the idea of Brotherhood. This is to say that you must armour yourself with good intent and thankfulness of those you wish to associate with. Drop those who would no longer honour your path or your truth. Remember the arrow is always straight and says 'stay on the sacred path'

A Thank you to life, the universe and everything

Thanks for the love that flows from my being
Thanks for showing a new way of seeing
Thanks for each new beautiful day
Thanks for the garden in which we play
Thanks for the souls that guide with their light
Thanks for the darkness from which we gain sight
Thanks for connections surrounding us all
Thanks for the times when I slip and fall
Thanks for the strength to get up again
Thanks for the joy of the dance in the rain
Thanks for the magic, the stars in the sky
Thank you for showing that we do not die
Thanks for my family thanks for my friends
And thanks for the journey, its twists and its bends
Thanks most of all for this gift of living
And for all the love, the receiving and giving.

Sacred Path Cards -by Jamie Sams

4. Peyote Ceremony - New Abilities (excerpt)

"When the people's spirit was broken
When the buffalo no longer roamed
When all our lands were taken
We no longer had a home

The water birds reflection
Of the universe within
Showed us new abilities
And gave us hope again"

"The peyote ceremony is a sacred ritual that propels the spirit into the
crack in the universe where there is no time, no space, just the raw
energy of Creation coming from the Great Mystery. Once people see the
truth and touch eternity, there is no way to strip them of their dignity
or their knowing"

The reading

If the Water Bird has flown your way and brought you the Peyote Ceremony you are asked to recognise your immortal spirit. Look into the crack in the universe for new ways to develop and the abilities that can enhance your growth. Remove any denial that keeps you from developing new skills and use the talents you have to the fullest.

The peyote ceremony puts you on notice that opportunities to discover the Self and for expansive growth are now possible. You are never as limited as you believe you are. The true self is filled with potential. Conquering limitation created in the mind will allow you to discover these new abilities and know that all goals are possible.

Another beautiful day

Today, even the mist seemed to have a mysteriously beautiful soft pink quality to it.

The Faery Oracle - Brian Stroud, Jessica Macbeth

CARD NO. 23

THE GREEN WOMAN (excerpt)
Wildness, Natural Magic, Gratitude, Untrammeled Creativity

The green woman dances naked in the moonlight - and the sunlight - and the shadows as well. She doesn't care what you think of her, she knows her own worth from her experience of life. She is the feminine Vital vegetative force that enables a root to crack through stone a reed to bend in the wind and the oak to stand against the storm.

The graceful slow motion dance of the Green Woman shows us how to release the constraints of artificial rules and find our own pattern and growth. Each of us, rooted or not has an inborn pattern to guide our own growth.

Reading

The Green woman speaks to us of caring for our own growing ground and of the physical satisfaction of being our natural selves and practicing our own innate magic. This is a time for enhancing the growth of our talents and abilitites a time of blossoming that will bear fruit. It may also be a time of growing maturity and self confidence, trust yourself and the process.

She councils boldness and perseverence in the face of adversity and also reminds us that sometimes the action called for is to wait patiently and keep growing.

connecting with nature

The sacred path cards 6/11/10

Card No. 30 FIRE MEDICINE

If fire medicine card has arrived in the cards, you are being asked to acknowledge the fire within. Your spontaneity for living depends upon your connection to fire. You can support your passion for living by acknowledging all the good medicine present. Your ability to create adventure and excitement comes from your willingness to give yourself pleasure and joy. All that is needed to continue the passion is to decide if you are worthy and proceed.

If you have any judgements about passion on the physical level its time to clear them. All acts of life are sacred when treated in a respectful manner.

In all cases Fire medicine insists we use the fire within to fuel our lives with energy. This energy comes with mother earths physicality and grandfather suns spontaneous love. When we are in balance this Divine union sparks our natural desire for experiencing life.
